- Can I run around the course with my child? Yes for our upcoming Mini Muckers Family Run, adults are encouraged to sign up as part of a team with their kids. We expect you to dig out your old gym gear, release your inner child and get muddy…..your kids will love it!! Spectators can walk a large percentage of the course, so make sure they have their camera packed.
- What should I expect on the day? The course is 2.5km long with approximately 25+ obstacles of varying difficulty. Everyone will have the option of running a 2nd lap. Once you cross the finish line you will not be permitted back on the course. Most of the obstacles will involve scrambling under nets, climbing through pipes, running up and down mounds and lots more. Expect to get muddy, especially on wet days. You must register one hour prior to your race start time. You must provide ID and a signed waiver consenting your child to run. A wrist band will be provided. It is important that you keep your wristband as this must be supplied to one of our staff at the end of the race in return for a Mini Muckers gift.
- Can I register a team? Absolutely. We encourage participants to enter as a team as we find this adds to the fun. There is no limit to the number in a team.
- Can I register on behalf of a charity? We think it is great if you are running in aid of a charity and we have no problem with this.
- Can I switch wave once I have registered? Once you are registered, everyone has the ability to log in to their Eventbrite account and make any edits they need to make up to 10 days prior to the event. If there is space in another wave then yes you can change your selected time.
- If I cant make the event can I get a refund? Unfortunately you cannot get a refund but you can transfer your name to another participant once it is two weeks prior to the event via your Eventbrite Ac.
- What should I wear? The course will be muddy so we advise to wear old lightweight clothes and runners that can be tied with laces. We want to see you all in fancy dress, so get the face paint out. No capes or flowing clothing that could get caught in obstacles.
- Can my friends and family come along? Yes they are more than welcome to come along to cheer you on.
- Why do I need a waiver signed? All adventure racing involves some element of risk and injuries may occur. At Mini Muckers events, we have taken every measure to ensure your child’s safety and we want everyone involved to have a fantastic day. The waiver is for insurance purposes and that you are acknowledging there is a risk involved by allowing your child to participate.
- Where can I find the waiver forms? You can find the waiver form links on www.minimuckers.ie/register and www.minimuckers.ie/insurance
- How is my child safeguarded? Mini Muckers Events run all their events in lieu of The Irish Sports Council Guide to Safeguarding Children and Code of Ethics. We regularly attend courses and keep up to date on any new regulations. On the day children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and they are unable to leave the venue unless there is an adult present. We will also have a fully qualified child officer located in the registration tent in the event that a child has become temporarily lost or an issue arises.
- Participating in a mud run comes with risks of exposure to bacterial infections: Please read this link and make sure you are aware of the risks prior to signing up:
