Mini Muckers Race Info

May 1, 2016 by Charene Loughlin Leave a Comment

Congratulations on signing up to

Mini Muckers “The Return”

We hope you and your little Mucker are as excited as we are.

Below are a couple of important bits of information,
please read carefully:

  • The insurance cover on the day is not personal injury cover, if you feel that your child requires additional cover please arrange this before race day.

  • Please ensure that if you are bringing your own child that you have a signed parental consent form and a photocopy of your child’s id with you.  If you don’t have these documents your child will not be allowed race, no exceptions made and no refund.

  • If you are bringing someone else’s child you will need Parental consent form, absent parent consent form & a copy of their ID

These forms can be found on:

http://minimuckers.ie/about/insurance/
  • Registrations are 1 hour before your wave time, if up are not sure what wave time you selected, please log in to your Eventbrite Account to confirm.  Please do not arrive at the venue before 9.30am.
  • If you purchased a tshirt, this can be collected at the Tshirt stall on the morning.  There will be a limited amount to buy on the day.
  • If you have an incident to report, our child officer will be located in the registration tent all day
  • Sat Nav may try to take you the Blessington route, if you are coming from on the M7 ignore this and make sure to take exit 9 for Naas with the large black and white ball.  Punchestown Racecourse will be sign posted.  Do not follow signs for Naas Races
  • When you arrive at the carpark, there are a number of entries, look for the entry with our Mini Muckers sign up, our marshals will be there to point you in the right direction, drive down the main ave to Carpark A, B & C
  • Every measure has been taken to ensure your child’s safety on the day, we ask that you and your children listen to the marshal’s at ALL times and adhere to the race rules to ensure a great day out for all.
  • No dogs are permitted on site.

What you need to bring:

This year our event is longer, tougher and a lot more obstacles.  Your child WILL get dirty and wet so bring:

  • black bag/s,

  • baby wipes

  • towel

  • loose fitting clothes that are easy to throw on after.

  • There will be a wash down area but no changing facilities.

Make sure you dress them in lightweight clothing for the race, tie shoes tightly to avoid them disappearing in the mud.

We will have face-painters on the day FOC so please avail of them.  We encourage all children to fancy dress to make the race even more fun 🙂

There will be light snacks and water given to every child at the end of their race, food/refreshments will be available to purchase – we advise that you bring additional drinks and snacks.

Please make sure to take your rubbish with you, I’m sure you don’t want our lovely marshal’s having to pick it up after you.

The day will be a great day out for all, its as much fun watching and cheering the kids on as it is to run it.  Make sure your camera is charged!!!

For more information check out:

www.minimuckers.ie/faq
And remember it is an obstacle challenge and not a race:
All children can run a 2nd lap if they are able for it, once they cross the finish line they will not be allowed back on the course.
Tell them take their time, try each challenge and if they see someone struggling help them out 🙂

We can’t wait to see you all on the day!!!!
